Transparency is important to us. In this section, we show how the donations we received were used and what impact your contribution has made this year. The figures for 2025 are not final, of course, but they do give you an idea.
We started as a foundation in September 2023 and closed our first full financial year in 2024. These figures have now also been reviewed by an independent expert and you can read the report and recommendations here.
2025 was a special year for the Mwanzo Foundation and our collaboration with The Ark Children's Home. Thanks to your commitment and generosity, we received a lot of money. We are extremely grateful for this.
We received €4,300 in donations for the work of the Mwanzo Foundation and €25,600 for the work of The Ark Children's Home!
The Mwanzo Foundation receives donations for specific purposes. This ensures that every penny goes where you want it to go. Donations for The Ark go entirely to The Ark, while donations for specific projects (Isaac, the kitchen, school fees) go entirely to the project in question.
Mwanzo covers all costs, such as transaction costs, bank and marketing costs, and costs for working visits. Mwanzo itself also receives donations for this. This way, we keep everything transparent and nothing gets lost in the shuffle. We also account for this in our annual financial report. We also have our accounts audited by an independent specialist.
We are already affiliated with Stichting Donateursbelangen (Donor Interest Foundation). In 2026, we also want to be officially registered with the CBF, which supervises charities.
