February was partly all about school. The team from The Ark visited the schools where the children study — not for a formal meeting, but simply to be there.
To hear how things are going, what teachers notice, what a child is struggling with. That involvement makes a difference — for the children, but also for the schools, who know that someone at home is paying attention.
The conversations were about progress, but also about direction. What comes naturally to a child? Where do they want to go? We ask those questions early — not to push, but to guide.
Then came a week of holiday. And what a week it was. The children came home — some for the first time since starting secondary school or boarding school. They talked about new friends, new routines, the things that are going well and the things that still take getting used to. Just being together, sharing stories, laughing. Exactly what a home is supposed to be.
